Research

Metastasis is responsible for about 90% of cancer-related deaths. The research of my laboratory is focused on understanding the mechanisms of breast cancer metastasis, thereby discovering novel cancer biomarkers and therapeutic targets to improve the treatment for metastatic cancers. Currently, the research projects are mainly focused on understanding the role of neutrophils in breast cancer metastasis,  tumor-associated inflammation,  how tumor alters granulopoiesis, liquid biomarker discovery and developing novel strategy to improve the efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitor  in TNBC.
